CLINICAL STAFF
All staff members have received advanced intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy from the Behavioral Technology Transfer Group. We also regularly consult with other DBT programs and practitioners around the state and country. Each staff member participates in a weekly 2-hour consultation group and receive weekly, bi-monthly or monthly supervision from their program manager.

Soonie Kim, Ph.D.
Dr. Kim is an Oregon licensed psychologist and founder/director of the Portland DBT Program.  She has several years experience conducting DBT and has authored book chapters on BPD, DBT, and assessment of personality disorders. Dr. Kim consults with other mental health agencies and professionals in the treatment with emphasis on program development and evaluation. In 2002 and 2003 Dr. Kim served as chairperson for the International Society for the Investigation and Teaching of DBT (ISDBT), an organization that coordinates and sponsors an annual conference presenting research and training in DBT. 
Tracy Jendritza, Psy.D.
Dr. Jendritza holds her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Oregon. She has experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to adolescents and adults treating a variety of disorders and has several years experience conducting DBT. Areas of experience include problems with emotion dysregulation and impulsivity, including suicidal and parasuicidal behavior, borderline personality disorder, and eating disorders. Dr. Jendritza acts as Clinical Supervisor of the Portland DBT Program.
Breese Anderson, Psy.D.
Dr. Anderson received her doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is an Oregon licensed psychologist. She is also a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Dr. Anderson has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to adults and adolescents with a variety of mood, anxiety, eating and personality disorders. Her primary area of interest is in the therapeutic application of yoga including providing yoga-based services for self- and body-image problems, a variety of trauma-related symptoms and co-occurring medical conditions such as chronic fatigue and pain.  Dr. Anderson provides individual and group therapy in the DBT-ED Program and also conducts the therapeutic yoga group in the Trauma Recovery Program.  

Erica Tan, Psy.D.
Dr. Tan received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Regent University and is a licensed psychologist in both Oregon and Virginia. Her areas of experience include psychological testing and assessment, as well as providing individual, family and group therapy to adults and adolescents. In addition to treating co-occurring mood, anxiety and personality disorders, Dr. Tan also has an interest in helping clients explore sexual identity issues and concerns.  At Portland DBT, she is a member of the teen and family team.
Andrew White, Ph.D.
Dr. White received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Rhode Island and is an Oregon licensed psychologist.  He has experience working with adults, teens, and families in both public and private sectors. Dr. White has conducted DBT in community mental health, general outpatient, and partial hospital settings on the East and West coasts. He is active in mental health research and advocacy work in the greater Portland area with a special interest in mental health service delivery and program evaluation. In addition to serving as the manager of Portland DBT’s Teen and Family Program, Dr. White also is the program’s Research Coordinator.
Pamela Sheffield, Psy.D.
Psychologist Resident

Dr. Sheffield received her doctorate from Pacific University School of Professional Psychology in Oregon. She is a licensed psychologist in Washington and is in the process of becoming licensed in Oregon. She has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to adults, adolescents, and children for a number of issues including mood, anxiety, attachment, oppositional-defiant/conduct and personality disorders. Prior to joining Portland DBT, Dr. Sheffield worked at a mental health center in Colorado conducting psychological assessments with adolescents, adults and older adults. At Portland DBT, Dr. Sheffield is a member of the teen and family team.
W. Banjo Weymouth, Psy.D.
Dr. Weymouth holds his doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Oregon. Prior to joining Portland DBT, Dr. Weymouth worked in college and university student health centers, providing psychological evaluations and individual and group psychotherapy. His clinical interests include mindfulness, working with adolescents and young adults, men's issues, and techniques that integrate the mind and body.  At Portland DBT, Dr. Weymouth is a member of the teen and family team.
Barbara Limandri, DNSc, PMHNP
Dr. Limandri earned her doctorate in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco and is board certified as an advanced practice nurse. She is certified by Oregon State Board of Nursing as a prescribing psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has taught psychopharmacology at the graduate level as well as at national forums. She also teaches consumers of mental health services about medications. She is an Associate Professor of nursing at Linfield College School of Nursing in Portland. She has been practicing in Oregon for 20+ years and supervises and consults with other psychiatric nurse practitioners.
Susan Hoffman, MSN, PMHNP
Susan earned her master of science in nursing degree from Oregon Health and Science University in 2002 and is board certified as an adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. She is licensed as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with prescriptive and dispensing privileges by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Susan worked for several years at a non-profit, mental health agency serving clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.  Currently she works part-time at Portland DBT and also maintains a private practice. 
Juleeanna Andreoni, MS, RD, LD
Juleeanna is a licensed dietitian in the state of Oregon who received clinical training at the Oregon Health and Science University. She has a master degree in nutrition with an emphasis in education. Although trained as a general nutritionist, Juleeanna's focus is in treating eating disorders with both teens and adults.  She has experience working with weight issues, eating mindfully/intuitively, meal planning, and supporting positive relationships with food and feeding.  Juleeanna conducts nutrition therapy with teens, adults, and families in Portland DBT's ED Program.
Timothy Peters, LCSW
Tim is a clinical social worker who received his master's degree in social work from Portland State University. He is a licensed clinical social worker in both Oregon and Washington.  Tim has worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health for over 10 years.  He has experience working with clients with varying presenting problems; including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and personality disorders. Tim is a member of the DBT-ED team and also serves as the program’s Trauma Recovery Services Coordinator.
Betsy Trumbull, LCSW
Betsy received her master's degree in social work from Portland State University and is an Oregon licensed clinical social worker.  She is currently in the process of obtaining a certification in alcohol and drug counseling. Much of Betsy’s training and experience involved providing mental health services to teens and families in the public health arena including community based mental health programs, as well as child welfare and juvenile justice systems.  Before joining Portland DBT, Betsy conducted DBT with adolescent girls in a residential treatment setting.  Betsy is on the DBT-S team where she provides individual, group, and family therapy to adults and adolescents with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse problems.
Kathryn Patrick, LCSW
Kathryn received her master's degree in social work from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is now a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Oregon. She has experience in community mental health and addictions services, providing individual, group, and family therapy for teens and adults. At Portland DBT, she is a member of the teen and family team.
Erin O'Reilly, LCSW
Erin received her master's degree in social work from Portland State University and is an Oregon licensed clinical social worker.  She has experience working with children, teens, and families in both public and private sectors. Erin worked at a secure residential facility for several years specializing in addiction treatment with teens diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. In her most recent position she served as a program coordinator and therapist for a community-based child/family sexual abuse program. Erin’s professional interests involve implementing mindfulness practice and yoga into traditional psychological treatments. She is an avid supporter of community programs such as Street Yoga and My Voice Music, which aim at empowering at-risk youth via alternative, creative methods of intervention. At Portland DBT, Erin is a member on the teen and family team where she conducts individual, family and group therapy.
Tricia Vail, LCSW
Tricia is an Oregon licensed clinical social worker who received her master's degree in social work from the University of Alaska. She has over 10 years of experience working with adults, teens and children in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals and outpatient psychotherapy clinics. Her work experience also includes working with active duty military veterans and their families treating PTSD and other psychiatric conditions. Tricia is a member of the DBT-S team where she provides treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance abuse problems.
Mara McGraw, LCSW
Mara received her master's degree in social work from Portland State University and is an Oregon licensed clinical social worker.  She has worked in the mental health field since 1998 providing therapeutic services for individuals diagnosed with mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders and dual diagnosis issues. In her most recent position she served as a behavioral health specialist in a public health internal medicine clinic teaching DBT skills to patients for chronic pain and disease management. Mara’s professional interests include working with teens with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health problems.  She is   a member of Portland DBT’s teen and family team where she conducts individual, family and group therapy.
Kim Christiansen, LPC, CADCIII
Kim received her master of arts degree in counseling psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Northern California. She is an Oregon licensed professional counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Kim has worked with adults in outpatient community mental health agencies and with adolescents in residential settings since 2000. She has experience working with clients with varying presenting problems, including mood, anxiety disorders and personality disorders, as well as co-occurring substance abuse disorders.  Kim is a member of the DBT-S team.
Mark Schorr, LPC, CADCI
Mark received his master of arts degree in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College.  He is an Oregon licensed professional counselor who holds a National Counselor Certification and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  Mark has worked as a therapist in mental health settings since 1991. His most recent position was director of staff development for a large behavioral healthcare agency.  He is experienced working with people with personality disorders, trauma histories, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as co-occurring substance abuse disorders.  Mark provides individual and group therapy in the DBT-S Program.
Kirsten McAteer, LPC, CADCI
Kirsten received her master of arts degree in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College.  She is a licensed professional counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Oregon.  Prior to joining Portland DBT,  Kirsten facilitated DBT skills groups  with  adults in a community mental health setting.  She has experience treating people with eating disorders, trauma histories, personality disorders, mood and anxiety disorders and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.  At Portland DBT, Kirsten is a member of the DBT-ED Program team.
Lisa Pace, LPC
Lisa holds a master degree in counseling psychology from Pacific University's School of Professional Psychology and is licensed in Oregon as a professional counselor. She has experience providing treatment for individuals with mood, anxiety, and co-occurring personality disorders in community mental health and other non-profit treatment settings.  At Portland DBT, Lisa provides individual and group therapy on the DBT-ED team.
Jill Johnson, LPC
Jill received her master's degree in counseling from Portland State University. She is both a licensed professional counselor and licensed school counselor in the state of Oregon. Jill has conducted individual, family, and group therapy in schools and community mental health agencies for several years. She has experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders including clients with trauma histories and substance abuse problems.  Her interests include the integration of yoga and mindfulness practices into counseling. At Portland DBT, Jill is on the teen and family team.  
Jesse Homan, LPC
Jesse received his master's degree in counseling from Portland State University. He is a licensed professional counselor in both Oregon and Washington and is in the process of becoming a certified alcohol and drug counselor.  Before joining Portland DBT, Jesse worked in a DBT program at a community mental health center located in Vancouver, Washington. His professional interest and experience is in the area of co-occurring mental health and substance abuse problems including the link between trauma and addictions. At Portland DBT, Jesse is a member of the DBT-S team where he conducts individual and group therapy.
Emily Nemeth, MA, CADC-I
Emily received her master’s degree in somatic psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. She is licensed as both a professional counselor and a certified alcohol and drug counselor in Oregon. Emily has experience working in residential, wilderness, community mental health outpatient and intensive outpatient settings with adults, adolescents, and families. She is interested in the use of body-based and experiential modalities, including animal-assisted therapy, to reduce the effects of trauma and change ineffective behaviors. At Portland DBT, Emily is a member of the DBT-S team where she conducts individual and group therapy.
Tawni Lowry, MA
Tawni received her master’s degree in art therapy at Marylhurst University and is in the process of becoming a licensed professional counselor in Oregon.  She has worked in both public and private sectors providing individual and group therapy to individuals with trauma histories, mood and anxiety disorders, learning disabilities, substance abuse disorders and personality disorders. Tawni has worked with clients ranging in age from preteen to older adult, as well as with culturally specific populations.  Given her background in art therapy, Tawni is interested in incorporating art therapy methods into teaching DBT skills.  At Portland DBT, Tawni is on the DBT-ED team and is also the primary group therapist in the Innovations Intensive Outpatient Program for Trauma.
