CLINICAL STAFF
All staff members have received advanced intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy from the Behavioral Technology Transfer Group. We also regularly consult with other DBT programs and practitioners around the state and country. Each staff member participates in a weekly 2-hour consultation group and receives weekly, bimonthly, or monthly individual consultation from either Dr. Kim or one of the program managers.

Soonie Kim, Ph.D.
Dr. Kim is an Oregon licensed psychologist and founder/director of the Portland DBT Program. She has several years experience conducting DBT and has authored book chapters on BPD, DBT, and assessment of personality disorders. Dr. Kim consults with other mental health agencies and professionals in the treatment with emphasis on program development and evaluation. In 2002 and 2003 Dr. Kim served as chairperson for the International Society for the Investigation and Teaching of DBT (ISDBT), an organization that coordinates and sponsors an annual conference presenting research and training in DBT. |

Tracy Jendritza, Psy.D.
Dr. Jendritza holds her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Oregon. She has experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to adolescents and adults treating a variety of disorders and has several years experience conducting DBT. Areas of experience include problems with emotion dysregulation and impulsivity, including suicidal and parasuicidal behavior, borderline personality disorder, and eating disorders. Dr. Jendritza acts as Assistant Director of Portland DBT and also manages its eating disorder program. |

Kristen McClard, Psy.D.
Dr. McClard received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University and is an Oregon licensed psychologist. She has studied empirically supported treatments for a variety of disorders and researched suicidal behavior among youth with behavioral and emotional disorders. She has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy with adults, adolescents and children for a variety of problems. Her professional interest is in the area of adolescent and family therapy. She currently manages the DBT-Teen Program. |

Wendi Adams, Psy.D.
Dr. Adams received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University’s School of Professional Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist in the state of Oregon. Dr. Adams has experience proving individual therapy with adolescents and individual, couples, and group therapy with adults. Her areas of interest include the treatment of emotion regulation problems, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, sexual minority issues, and the treatment of trauma. Dr. Adams holds an adjunct faculty position at Pacific University’s School of Professional Psychology where she teaches a graduate course on GLBT issues. She also serves as the DBT Trauma Recovery Program manager. |

Susannah Castle, Psy.D.
Dr. Castle holds her doctorate in clinical psychology from George Fox University and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Oregon. She has experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to adults, couples, individuals with disabilities, as well as with individuals of Hispanic descent. A primary area of interest for Dr. Castle is the relationship between personality disorders, the therapeutic relationship, and post-traumatic stress. She has conducted research on improving "self-capacities" in women diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder through the application of DBT. Dr. Castle conducts individual and group therapy in the DBT-ED Program. |

Amanda Starr, Psy.D.
Dr. Starr received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University's School of Professional Psychology and is an Oregon licensed psychologist. Dr. Starr's clinical experience includes working with young adults in college counseling centers, adults in general outpatient clinics, and providing comprehensive psychological assessments for teenagers in residential settings. Her areas of interest include the neurobiology of attachment relationships and effect on personality development/disorders, ADD/ADHD in adult women, PTSD and other trauma syndromes, and the integration of experiential methods into traditional talk therapy. At Portland DBT, Dr. Starr is on the DBT Trauma Recovery Program team conducting individual and group therapy. |

Darcy Norling, Psy.D.
Dr. Norling received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University and is an Oregon licensed psychologist. She specializes in the treatment of adolescents and their families with a variety of difficulties including mood instability, oppositional/defiant behavior, and suicidal/self-harming behavior. At the Portland DBT Program, Dr. Norling conducts individual, group, and family therapy for teens and adults. She also provides DBT training to other mental health professionals and agencies, with an emphasis on program development and evaluation.

Andrew White, Ph.D.
Dr. White received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Rhode Island and is an Oregon licensed psychologist. He has experience working with adults, teens, and families in both public and private sectors. Dr. White has conducted DBT in community, mental health, general outpatient, and partial hospital settings on both the East and West coasts. He is active in mental health research and advocacy work in the greater Portland area with a special interest in mental health service delivery and program evaluation. At Portland DBT, Dr. White conducts individual, group, and family therapy in the Teen DBT Program and serves as the program's Research Coordinator. |

Barbara J. Limandri,
DNSc, PMHNP
Dr. Limandri earned her doctorate in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco and is board certified as an advanced practice nurse. She is certified by Oregon State Board of Nursing as a prescribing psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has taught psychopharmacology at the graduate level as well as at national forums. She also teaches consumers of mental health services about medications. She is an Associate Professor of nursing at Linfield College School of Nursing in Portland. She has been practicing in Oregon for 20+ years and supervises and consults with other psychiatric nurse practitioners. |

Laura Rodgers, Ph.D., PMHNP
Dr. Rodgers earned her doctorate in nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University. She is board certified as an advanced practice nurse and is certified by the Oregon State Board of Nursing as a prescribing psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Dr. Rodgers has over 20 years experience in the nursing field. She has taught psychiatric nursing at graduate and undergraduate levels in the US and Russia, worked as a hospitalist at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, worked as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner in a clinical setting, and has presented research papers both nationally and internationally. Currently, Dr. Rodgers is a Professor of Nursing at Linfield College School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon. |

Juleeanna Andreoni, MS, RD, LD
Juleeanna is a licensed dietitian in the state of Oregon who received clinical training at the Oregon Health and Science University. She has a Master's degree in nutrition with an emphasis in education. Although trained as a general nutritionist, Juleeanna's focus is in treating eating disorders with both teens and adults. She has experience working with weight issues, eating mindfully/intuitively, meal planning, and supporting positive relationships with food and feeding. Juleeanna conducts nutrition therapy with teens, adults, and families in Portland DBT's ED Program. |

Timothy J. Peters, LCSW
Tim is a clinical social worker who received his masters in social work from Portland State University. He is a licensed clinical social worker in both Oregon and Washington. Tim has worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health for over 10 years. He has experience working with clients with varying presenting problems; including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and personality disorders. Tim is a member of the Trauma Recovery Program team conducting individual and group therapy. |

Betsy Trumbull, LCSW
Betsy obtained her Masters degree in Social Work from Portland State University and is an Oregon licensed clincial social worker. Much of her training has involved providing mental health services to teens and families in the public health arena including community based mental health programs and both child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Before coming to Portland DBT, Betsy provided DBT to adolescent girls in residential treatment. At Portland DBT, Betsy is on the teen and family team conducting individual, group, and family therapy. |

Alidra Solday, LCSW
Alidra holds a Masters in Social Work degree from Hunter College in New York City, as well as Masters Degree in expressive art therapy from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Alidra is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Oregon and has extensive experience treating clients with eating, anxiety, mood and personality disorders. She is a member of the DBT-ED Program team. |

Erin Driskill, LCSW
Erin received her masters in social work from Eastern Washington University and is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Oregon. She has several years experience in the mental health field working in community heath and family service settings. At Portland DBT, Erin is on the teen and family team conducting individual, group, and family therapy. |

Larry Smith, LPC
Larry holds a Master of Arts in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College and is a licensed professional counselor in both Oregon and Washington. He has experience working with clients with varying presenting problems, including depression, eating disorders, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and personality disorders. Larry is a member of the DBT-ED team providing individual, group and couples therapy. |

Aniko Becsei, LPC
Aniko received her Master of Arts in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College and is a licensed professional counselor in both Oregon and Washington. Aniko has several years experience working with clients with varying presenting problems, such as posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, and personality disorders. She holds an additional Masters-equivalent degree in education from Hungary, her country of origin, where she worked as a high school teacher and counselor at a bilingual high school and taught language classes and socio-linguistics at Jozsef Attila University. Aniko conducts DBT-informed family therapy and facilitates the Parents' Education and Support Group. |

Michelle Connolly, LPC, CADCI
Michelle received her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is a licensed professional counselor in in the state of Oregon. Michelle has experience working with individuals with mood disorders, PTSD, substance abuse and personality disorders. She was involved in dual diagnosis and DBT services in the community mental health system prior to joining the Portland DBT Program staff. Michelle manages the DBT-S Program. |

Heidi received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College and is a licensed professional counselor in in the state of Oregon. She also holds a National Counselor Certification and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Heidi has worked as a therapist in a variety of community mental health settings since 1996, providing individual and group therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and personality disorders. Prior to joining the Portland DBT Program staff, she facilitated dual diagnosis and DBT services at a community mental health agency in Portland. Heidi is a member of the DBT-S team. |

Wendy received her Master of Science degree in Psychology from Western Washington University. She is a licensed professional counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Oregon and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. Wendy has worked with adults in outpatient community mental health agencies since 1997, and prior to that worked with adults and adolescents in a residential settings. She has experience treating individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma histories, personality disorders and substance abuse using an integrated approach that includes DBT. At the Portland DBT Program, Wendy provides individual and group therapy to adults and young adults with an emphasis on the treatment of co-occuring substance abuse and mental health issues. |

Mark received his Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. He is an Oregon licensed professional counselor who holds a National Counselor Certification and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Mark has worked as a therapist in mental health settings since 1991. His most recent position was director of staff development for a large behavioral healthcare agency. He is experienced working with people with personality disorders, trauma histories, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Mark provides individual and group therapy in the DBT-S Program. |

Kirsten received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Oregon. Prior to joining Portland DBT, Kirsten facilitated DBT skills groups with adults in a community mental health setting. She has experience treating people with eating disorders, trauma histories, personality disorders, mood and anxiety disorders and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Kim Christiansen, LPC, CADCI
Kim received her Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Northern California. She is an Oregon licensed professional counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Kim has worked with adults in outpatient community mental health agencies and with adolescents in residential settings since 2000. She has experience working with clients with varying presenting problems, including mood, anxiety disorders and personality disorders, as well as co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Kim provides individual and group therapy in Portland DBT’s substance abuse program. |

Kim Huygen, LPC
Kim received her masters in clinical psychology from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands in 1997 . She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing individual, group and family therapy to individuals suffering from diverse mental health and substance abuse problems. Kim is an Oregon licensed professional counselor and is currently in the process of obtaining her CADCI. She is a member of the Trauma Recovery Program team providing individual, group, and family therapy including couples work.
